Mauritius Whale Swim Adventures is pleased to invite you to participate in this exclusive Sperm Whale Expedition taking place in June 2026.
We are offering 8 guests per week the opportunity to join us on this adventure to the island paradise of Mauritius.

accommodation & Transport
You will be staying at a newly-renovated house that backs right on to the Indian Ocean – facing westward for the most incredible sunsets
You will have your own ensuite bathroom, plunge pool, fully functioning kitchen and laundry
Transfers will be provided to and from the airport (1 hour away) and to the wharf each morning (15 minutes)
There will be 3x medium-sized sedans available for you to use during your stay on the island.
A light breakfast will be made available
Alcohol (beer, wine, and some spirits) will be included during your stay.

Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is a stunning island nation that embodies the essence of tropical beauty. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine beaches and lush green forests, Mauritius is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Mauritius is a volcanic island that has a unique blend of African, French and Asian influences, reflected in a vibrant culture with delicious cuisine and historical landmarks.
We will be based out of the Tamarin / Black River region on Mauritius’ west coast. This picturesque area is characterised by dramatic landscapes, scenic hiking trails and an abundance of wildlife. Tamarin is renowned for its world-class surf breaks and stunning sunsets. The area is also home to the iconic Le Morne Brabant mountain (pictured), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its unique blend of rugged wilderness and scenic beautify, Tamarin is an incredible backdrop for our adventure. There is so much to do in Mauritius, and that’s even without the sperm whales!
June is part of Mauritius' dry season, with pleasant maximums of 26C and minimums of 19C. The water is a stunning 26C.
other activities
Our operation is based in the small township of Tamarin in the Black River area of Mauritius. There are numerous non -diving activities to do in the area each afternoon. Activities are not inclusive but can be arranged on your behalf either on the day or in advance.

Hiking at Black River Gorges National Park: Mauritius' largest national park, offering scenic hiking trails and breathtaking views

Le Morne Brabant Hike: Climb the UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering stunning views of the southwest coast (challenging, 2 -3 hours). Requires a guide and a license (which can be organised).

Seven Cascading Tamarin Falls: There is a hike that takes you through seven cascading waterfalls in the Tamarin Area.

Sunset Kayaking: in the mangroves of Black River at sunset.

Kite Surfing: The Tamarin Bay area is known for its world -class kite surfing. We can help arrange this if it is of interest.

La Vanille Nature Park: is a 15 -hectare park that allows you to get up close to Zebras, Giraffes, Rhinos, Hippos, Deer, Monkeys, Crocodiles, Lions and Tortoises. Other activities in the park include zip -lining, quad biking and horse riding.
